Sue Pebley and Friends Foreve home - Consuenol Ave, Blairgowrie

On Friday, March 3, 2006, many of the staff, volunteers, and friends of Acres of Love gathered at 36 Consuenol Drive, for the dedication of the Sue Pebley and Friends Forever Home. The second of the Acres of Love homes in the Blairgowrie region, this beautiful house has become home to house parents Chris and Miriam Forget and to six children: Lungeleni, Nonhlahla, Morgan, Mpilo, Kwanele, and Noluthando.

At the event, the home’s patron, Sue Pebley reflected on God’s leading her to Acres of Love and to the heart He has given her for the children there.

“The dedication of the Sue Pebley and Friends Forever Home was the culmination of a 20 year dream. For many years I had been thinking about a project wherein we could positively impact a group of people who were in a helpless position due to circumstances outside of their control. I wanted the project to have eternal significance and extend the love of God around the world.
Seeing the shining faces of the children at the dedication was a very inspiring experience. Their faces were so full of hope. The family atmosphere created by our wonderful house parents was a joy to experience. We took the children to an amusement park the day after the dedication. It was so refreshing to see how appreciative the children were and how bonded they were as a family. I sincerely thank the Acres of Love Team for enabling me to realize my dream.”

On September 11, a benefit evening, called “ love across the oceans” , a party with a purpose , was held in Laguna Beach at the stylish residence of the Pebley's family. Sue Pebley bought an Acres of Love ‘Forever Home’ out her foundation and the proceeds from the benefit evening will go towards the running cost of the home.
