This year we celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the founding of the 1st Acres of Love Forever Home and we are so encouraged and grateful that we will also soon be establishing our 20th Forever Home!"

Acres of Love has evolved into a global organization which functions essentially by the mutual and strategic cooperation of families, corporations, churches and professionals.

Ryan and I want to sincerely thank you for reaching out in obedience and faith to solve the problems associated with extreme poverty and AIDS. I believe when we unite to reach out and rescue the abandoned infants and children left in its wake - we are about our Father's business. Please continue to pray for the team in South Africa and every child in our forever homes.

The Ellenwood Forever Home, sponsored by Sue and George Foster is situated in the Benoni region. We have been praying for a home for the many abandoned and orphaned children and this is God's faithful answer!

Acres of Love has also been blessed to receive the funds from the Jeff and Nancy Stack Foundation to purchase a forever home. We purchased this home in Blairgowrie region.

Our dream team in Santa Barbara did it again! We also purchased the 4th Santa Barbara Forever Home. Our entire team are so encouraged by the faithful support and love from the amazing legacy families who contribute monthly to support 4 Acres of Love forever homes. They are eternally changing the destiny of children who had no one... Thank you.

For one month, during the season of giving, Destiny Health invited a select group of Vitality Champs, as part of a pilot competition, to Walk For Life.

Each Champ walked for life in a pedometer challenge that helped raise money for the children in Acres of Love, South Africa.

We salute Andrew Sikes and his team for their passion and commitment to forever change the destiny of the vulnerable children of South Africa.

On March 7, 2008 a celebration was held at Casalinga Ristorante in South Africa to dedicate the Safari Sisters Forever Home, and the Acres of Love children who live there, to the Lord. Joining the staff and children of Acres of Love for the ceremony were Cheri Shank, her two daughters Erin and Shannon and the returning Safari Sisters.

Prayers of dedication were said by Cheri Shank, giving thanks for each and every precious child's life that has been saved as a result of the Safari Sisters Forever Home. A highlight of the day was a song performed by the newly formed Blairgowrie Sisters. Rachel, Anna and Fenki are all House Parents at various Forever homes in Blairgowrie.

It was a day full of memories to be cherished by all in attendance!

ABSA has a very strong Corporate Social Investment history. One of the wonderful examples of their long - term commitment to a CSI relationship is that of Absa Vehicle and Asset Finance and their support of Acres of Love, which has spanned several years.

The biggest commitment undoubtedly is that of providing the use of fully maintained new vehicles for the homes.

The multi passenger vehicles are used for transporting the children to school, church and their medical appointments. A HUGE thank you from the Acres of Love team and children.

The rain gave way and the sun came out as The Grace in Rosebank hosted a fun filled Easter party for the kids from Acres of Love.

The children enjoyed an adventurous Easter-egg hunt, delicious lunch and a visit from the renowned Easter Bunny. Fun and play was the order of the day and the Grace Team went to great lengths to ensure each child left with a full tummy, goodie bag, loads of Easter eggs and a huge smile on their faces.

A huge thank you to Bill Frohlich, Gudrun Berner and the whole Grace Team for their generosity.

On February 1, 2008 Herbalife SA celebrated "Mark Hughes Day" by visiting Acres of Love South Africa to kick off the Herbalife Family Foundation's annual pledge drive. Created in 1994 by Mark, the Foundation has helped thousands of children around the world. The Foundation has two main purposes: Casa Herbalife program to help bring healthy nutrition to children; and working with organizations on the scene in response to natural disasters.

Herbalife worldwide has recently celebration it's 28th anniversary of improving lives. In South Africa the Herbalife program supports Acres of Love in Gauteng.
