Dear Friends and Partners
It is profound to realize that we are the only family of
the infants and children who have been entrusted into
our care. We are a global family with multiple
skills and gifts; focused on executing a special
assignment – rescuing and nurturing the abandoned!
It is our honor and privilege to share the advances
Acres of Love has made this quarter, and we
want you to know that we love you and are grateful for
your partnership and participation. We give God all
the glory for His leading and mighty provision.
Thanks you for your generosity and love!
"Remember those...who are mistreated as if you
yourselves were suffering." Hebrews 13:3

New School year 2007
On January 10, 2007 fifty three of the children at
Acres of Love woke up with the excitement that only
the first day of school can bring! Not content to
simply watch from the window, even the early
morning chill couldn’t hinder their enthusiasm as the
kids ran out of their front doors to wait for the
carpools to arrive. With our kids attending 14
different schools, including those who specialize in
serving children with special needs, the morning
carpool routine can get rather complicated – but our
incredible houseparents are up to the challenge!
Each morning their vans fill with the squeals and
lively chatter of kids who can’t wait to get to school
and see what the day holds! Not to be left behind,
25 of the younger Acres kids headed off to the two
Acres of Love preschools so that strong foundations
can be laid for all of their school years to come.

Safari Sisters Forever Home
Opening March 1st, 2007
On March 1, 2007 the dream of ten California
women will become a reality. Almost one year ago
this group of wives, mothers and grandmothers
branded themselves the “Safari Sisters” and set off
for what was supposed to be a two week visit to
Acres of Love – and became the journey of a
lifetime. Upon visiting the Forever Homes in South
Africa, and meeting the tiny residents, their hearts
were captured.

New Forever Homes opening soon
Acres of Love has two Forever Homes opening in the
next two months, which more importantly translates
into at least 16 more amazing children that we will be
introduced to! The Casalinga Forever Home will open
on the Casalinga Farm, owned and operated by Peter
and Jenny DeLuca. For over a year Peter and Jenny
have been fostering Nkosi, a sweet boy from Acres of
Love, now almost 2 years old! The DeLuca’s have
made Nkosi such a part of their family that they have
decided to again open their arms to our children – this
time adding a home on their own property to take in
more little ones!
The Champion's
Forever Home will soon be opening its doors as
well! The team at the Champions Centre in Tacoma,
Washington has been eagerly picking out the
furnishings and decorations to welcome their children
home. We wait with anticipation to meet the new
members of our “family” who will fill the bedrooms
with their love and laughter! Our deepest thanks to
Pastors Kevin and Sheila Gerald for their proactive
initiative and support.

HIV/ AIDS and Children's rights
At Acres of Love we hope, through our work with
children and HIV/AIDS, to raise public awareness of
the effect this terrible disease has had on
children in South Africa, and to stimulate national and
international organizations to take steps to reduce the
suffering they are experiencing. Together we can
make a difference, one child at at time...
